On Monday, July 1, 2024, the first master's thesis in Media and Communication specialization in English on the Palestinian issue was discussed. The thesis, titled "The Semiotic Implications in Digital Media Coverage during the Palestinian Case amidst AL-Aqsa Flood on October 7th, 2023: A Semiological Analytical Study of Interview Samples from Piers Morgan's YouTube Channel," was prepared by students Bouzid Rania and Chouar Leila under the supervision of Dr. Tabri Samia.
The discussion committee consisted of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Gharaf Nasreddine, as the chairman, and Dr. Bekar Amina as the examiner. The Vice President of the University for External Relations, Professor Nawal Abd Al-Latif Mami, the Head of the Media and Communication Department, Professor Razzak Lahsan, the Chairman of the Scientific Council, Professor Mebni Noureddine, as well as a number of professors and students, attended the discussion. Thanks are extended to all the faculty members and the administration of the faculty, especially the Dean, and all those involved in this distinguished initiative, which is considered a contribution to supporting our brothers in Gaza.May Allah liberate Al-Aqsa from the hands of the oppressors.
